Men’s Cook-Off

Men, prepare your favorite appetizer, soup, salad, main dish, and/or dessert for the Men’s Cook-Off Sunday February 19th! Please bring your items in between 4:30 and 5:00pm. Cook-Off items will be judged and auctioned off, followed by a meal sponsored by Family Ministries at 5:00. Auction for top three winners in each category – Auctioneer will be Jim Huggins. There will be a silent auction for other items. All proceeds to go towards Building an Ark for Heifer Project

Honduras Mission Trip

MISSION TRIP 2012

SILOAM SPRINGS FIRST U.M.C.

AUGUST 2^ND – AUGUST 7^TH

La Cienega, HONDURAS

We will work in the village of La Cienega about 12 miles outside of Tegucigalpa the capital of Honduras. This village has 105 homes in it with around 445 people. We will work alongside the locals helping with two building projects. We will be building latrines and putting in cement floors. Some members of our church will be conducting a vacation bible school while there for the children of the village.

The cost of this trip is $1,500 per person. This includes airfare, lodging, meals, transportation and the materials for building projects.

If you are planning to go a $200 deposit is due per person by February 15^th.

If you would like to go on this trip please let us know. We will be conducting fundraisers and offering sponsorships to help with the cost of this trip.

A detailed packet of information is available with more specific information if you are somewhat interested in going.

Come be a part of our experience in Honduras as Siloam Springs FUMC is growing deeper and branching out.

Valentine Banquet

VALENTINE DINNER

Saturday February 11^th 5:30PM – 7:30PM

Siloam Springs First United Methodist Church

Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under

Everyone is welcome: couples, kids, singles, and families!

Menu choice:

1) Chicken breast with cream sauce and angel hair pasta or

2) Roasted pork loin with tarragon cream sauce and seasoned potatoes

Side items include broccoli, salad, and bread

Kids may receive gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches upon request

The evening will include:

*white table cloth dinning

*live music to accompany the meal

*all guests will be seated and served in candle light restaurant style

A silent auction will be held throughout the evening

Place your bids until 7:30PM
