Dr. Randy H. Rowlan, Pastor

Randy Rowlan became the senior pastor of First UMC – Siloam Springs in June 2006. He holds a doctorate of ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. Randy and his wife, Laura, have four children.
His Goal for Ministry: To bear fruit for the kingdom through knowing God personally and making Him known.

JeriKris Langston, Worship Arts Minister

JeriKris Langston became the Worship Arts Minister at First UMC – Siloam Springs in August 2009. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications theory with a minor is worship ministries at John Brown University in Siloam Springs. JeriKris has six members of her immediate family: her parents Mike and Kris Langston, and three siblings: Allan, Michael and Chelsea.
Her Ministry Goal: To see the congregation grow in their personal walk with Christ and to lead them into a time worship through the creative arts.
Randy Murphy, Music Director

Randy Murphy joined the First UMC – Siloam Springs staff as the director of music in 1978. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark. He has also completed work towards a master’s degree at Pittsburg State University, in Pittsburg, Kan. Randy has been married to the “love of my life,” Donna, for 40 years. They have two “great” adult children and five “wonderful” grandchildren.
His Ministry Goal: To enhance the worship experience through music.
Ernest Whitmore, Organist

Ernest Whitmore joined the First UMC staff in April 1986. Ernest has a bachelor’s degree in music (trumpet) from John Brown University in Siloam Springs. He has also completed a bachelor’s equivalent and some graduate work from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville (Math). He has a MMus degree in organ performance from the University of North Texas.
His goal for ministry: To give worshipers permission, via music, to be excited about historical connectedness of the Body of Christ through the centuries; to provide music that is aesthetically beautiful, scripturally sound, and mentally meaningful, rather than selections that are mere random fillers of space and time at a designated spot in the worship service.
