Rev. Clark Atkins, Senior Pastor
Clark Atkins became the senior pastor of First UMC – Siloam Springs in July 2017. He holds a Master of Divinity degree with Honors from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. Clark and his wife, Sherry, have two children: Allison and Sophia.
Three things he values about pastoral ministry in The United Methodist Church:
1. Building relationships with members of the church and community
2. Helping to discover the story of a local church and then both sharing that story with others and with the members of the church adding new exciting chapters to that story
3. The connectional nature of the UMC and the opportunity to be in ministry with others.
His passion for ministry: Working with the church to create vitality and to make disciples of Jesus Christ by continuously discovering the story and the mission field that is First United Methodist Church-Siloam Springs and then working with the congregation to share that story and engage in that mission field.
