As United Methodists, we pledge to uphold both the local, state and national church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. Ministries Within the Arkansas Conference
Camp Aldersgate, Little Rock, AR
By providing Med Camps, weekend respite care, free medical clinics and programs for the elderly and at-risk youth, Camp Aldersgate is a haven for those who are isolated, ill or differently-abled, regardless of economic, social or racial backgrounds.
Philander Smith College, Little Rock, AR
Providing higher education to more than 900 students, Philander Smith campus is home to the Arkansas Conference offices and to a Methodist chaplaincy program.
Hendrix College, Conway, AR
Hendrix College in Conway, AR, is home to more than 1,100 students. The United Methodist Church is represented through the Board of Trustees, a chaplaincy program, Program in Religious education, Church Music and Youth Ministry, fellowship teams and mission projects.
Connected in Christ
Transformational leadership strengthens Arkansas’s churches through clergy/laity partnership training and strategic ministry plans. This is a mission of Connected in Christ.

Many of the Lydia Patterson Institute’s students are from non-English speaking, impoverished homes south of El Paso, Texas. The institute is a fully-accredited college preparatory school.

Helps 11 historically black colleges and institutions in the United States, including Philander Smith College in Little Rock, AR, to provide academic programs that prepare and educate people for the new global and technological world.
